The excellent aquatic facilities from the original Harrogate Hydro remain, with a 25m eight lane pool, diving pool with a movable floor and an activity pool.
New changing facilities with sauna and steam room have been added as part of the refurbishment – the perfect way to relax and recover after your swim.

New wellness spaces will help aid recovery, enhance social wellbeing and improve the customer experience.
Relax, work or socialise in our brand new Cafe area, with a viewing area for the swimming pool and plenty of seating. We are looking to compliment the new centre with the inclusion of a suitable food and beverage offering that will provide a range of healthy food, drink and snacks.
Imagine a low-carbon future…
Ar Brimhams Active we are looking to reduce our impacts on the environment. The existing gas boilers have been replaced with air source heat pumps and solar panels, as well as new metering and energy monitoring and control systems. These energy efficiency measures come following a successful bid from the government’s public sector decarbonisation scheme and are anticipated to halve the carbon footprint of the centre.
Our works also include a reconfigured car park, complimentary landscaping, bicycle storage and electric vehicle charging points.
