Welcome to Sport Cardiff’s 60+ Project

If you are looking to keep active and stay sociable, our 60+ activities offer something for everyone. Come along, meet likeminded people, have fun and make friends while enjoying various activities and classes. 

 Why not take advantage of our fitness classes, or have a go at other sports . All is aimed at getting you active, having fun and keeping healthy at the same time. You’ll receive a great support from our professional and friendly staff that will be happy to help you achieve your best.

With simpler movements & lower intensity this class is perfect for people starting their fitness journey, older adults & anyone looking to build confidence. This full body workout is achieved through high reps & non-cardio exercises using body bars, barbells, & dumbbells.

Get fit the fun way. You’ll perform a range of low impact cardio moves along to music, taking each move at your own pace. Guided by our friendly, motivational instructors, come along to our 60+ aerobics to  keep fit and enjoy the social benefits of group exercise.

Whether you are a beginner, experienced bowler or simply looking for a good place to make new friends, bowling is a sociable activity that helps you stay fit and healthy. There are many ways that bowling can benefit you from helping to stay active, building strength and keeping social. It’s a friendly, low impact, non contact sport that anyone of any ability can take part in.

Football Walking Football is a great way to exercise and meet new people. Everyone is made to feel welcome when participating in this slowed down version of the classic game. Whether you're completely new, or played football when you were younger, walking football will add a new lease of life to your week.

Playing badminton is a great way to get active, have fun and stay healthy, whatever your age or level of ability. So boost your mental, physical and social health by taking up this popular racquet sport.

Table Tennis is a popular sport that continues to be enjoyed by all ages. The simplicity of the rules make it easy to play a game straight away and is a fun, low impact way to help keep active. Being a 2 or 4 player game, there are many social benefits to playing table tennis and is a great way to meet new people.

With simpler movements & lower intensity, this class is perfect for people starting their fitness journey, older adults & anyone looking to build confidence. Tai Chi is based on deep breathing & slow, gentle movements, which is lower-impact, but requires good focus.
