Turn back the clock 5 years, I’m weighing in over 18 stone, on crutches, where I had been for seven years with arthritis, I was living the disabled life… blue badge to boot.
I started doing swimming and aquafit, gentle on my joints and that built up my strength, and gradually l stopped using crutches.
In Jan 2016 a friend invited me to join a beginners running club as a dare. I was “what’s to lose?”… Turns out running is fun… this from the girl who faked illness more weeks in PE than not!
Fast forward to now, hundreds of miles run (600 last year) 2 half marathons, countless 10ks and club runs. If I can anyone can.
